the following images of my exp3 design studio architecture school / bridge effectively reinforce my theory. by joining and merging irregular shapes, a sense of circulation and unity can arise, especially by joining all of the surrounding buildings in the campus.
i believe that my design, similarly to zaha Hadid's Vitra Fire Station in Germany 'defines' the space, rather than 'occupying it'. the sharp and geometric style of architecture is juxtaposed with the surrounding roundhouse, squarehouse and other regular prism shaped buildings, yet works harmoniously together. my theory collaborates the human interaction through various spaces and the spaces around the campus.
the central 'core' of the building is joined by a large supporting beam and balcony which connects both irregular prismatic volumes to form one whole volume.
